Attacks of the Enemy

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of the world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Ephesians 6:12

Who is the Enemy?

The devil, Satan, are some of the names used to describe the ruler of darkness. He was once an Angel in heaven who was thrown down to Earth because he thought he could be higher than God. Some of his fellow angels that also worked with him was cast down from Heaven also.

The enemy main focus is the cause strife, hurt, pain, and most of all keep us from spending eternity with our Heavenly Father, God. From the beginning of God’s first creation of man , Satan twisted words and played mind games with humans, which caused Adam and Eve to be put out the Garden of Eden.

Satan hasn’t changed from the beginning of times. He and his demons lurk the Earth seeking whomever they can devour. Constantly in our minds making us doubt who we are, making us think negatively about our fellow man, and making us look like completely fools, and then walking away laughing at us. He is the ruler of this Earth, but he knows that his time is getting very short because Jesus is on his way back. As you can see, the world is full of hatred and a lot of things are going on that is an abomination to God. Satan is worker very hard to take as many souls to hell as possible.

Satan Attacks our Mind

Be sober, be vigilant; because the adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour

1 Peter 5:8, KJV

As it is mentioned in the Word of God, it is very important that we stay sober minded and alert. The enemy is will get in our minds and tell us lies that are very untrue. When you are tired and stressed, he will enter your mind and tell you things won’t get better. In marriages, he will cause confusion and doubt. And even in church, he will direct our minds to our phones, social media, talking and gossip, when we should be worshiping God with our fellow Christians. Alcohol and drug abuse, spousal abuse, child abuse, killing, jealousy, hate, foul language, and etc.

These are all some things that are produced from the attacks of the enemy a poison that puts in our minds.

Get to Know the Truth

The Truth is the Word of God, The Bible. Everything in his word is the truth. God says we are loved, we are his children, we are worthy, and we have a purpose. We are in his image. God loves us because he is love. God desires a genuine and personal relationship with us. In his eyes we are redeemed and liberated. He made us perfect the way that we are. And we are powerless to change from our ways of the world, but through salvation we are grafted by his strength. Salvation is a gift from God. This gives us the opportunity to submit our will for his way. He saved you by his grace when you believe. We must keep our faith and belief in God and his word daily.

We can do this by prayer daily, reading scripture, being obedient to his word, glorify him, praise him with a joyful noise. God is a worthy and wonderful father. He wants us to love each other, forgive, confess the truth, and thank him. We wouldn’t be where we are if it wasn’t for him.

The enemy can not do no more than God allow. God will test our faith at times but we have to stand up and be strong and let the devil know that we are soldiers in God’s army and we are going to take him down! God has giving us the protection we need to fight in this spiritual warfare.

Make God the head of your life today and turn from your worldly ways. Jesus Christ is on his way back.

Heavenly Father, we come to you giving you praise and thanks. We pray that you touch and bless every soul praying this prayer. Lord God, we know that you are a loving and forgiving God who sits high and look low. Lord, we ask you to enter our lives and cleanse us dear God. That we may be your sheep and spread your word and love across this land. Father forgive us of our sins as we repent, And to give us strength to fight against the attacks of the enemy. Bless those who are suffering from illness, poverty, and hunger. We thank you for your Son Jesus who shed his blood for our sins, In Jesus Name, Amen.
